Kashmir — The Learning Destination

Experience Kashmir

Kashmir is a Himalayan valley in northern India, renowned across the world for its natural beauty — snow-capped mountains, alpine meadows, pristine lakes, and lush horticultural landscapes. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, sits on the banks of the Jhelum River and around Dal and Nigeen Lakes.

The Valley is one of India's most important centres of temperate horticulture, home to extensive apple, walnut, almond, and saffron cultivation, and hosts leading national institutes including CITH-ICAR and SKUAST-K itself. October–November brings the Valley to its scenic peak, as the Chinar trees turn brilliant shades of gold and crimson against a backdrop of snow-dusted peaks.
